An appropriate telescope mount is essential to a good astronomy experience. The mount needs to be correctly rated for the weight of the telescope you are using. It needs to be easy enough for you to set up and use in your circumstances & the weight and size of the mount need to be considered if you want to transport the mount anywhere.
